What is a GIF?
Also called: animated GIF
Definition
A GIF is an image format that can hold a short, silent, looping animation.
GIFs play automatically almost anywhere an image can be shown, including pull requests, READMEs and emails, which is why they are still used for short screen clips.
The format is old: at most 256 colours per frame, no sound, and poor compression. A GIF is often several times larger than the same clip as an MP4.
In Sceed
Sceed exports GIFs from 480 to 1080 pixels wide at 10, 15 or 20 frames a second.
