What is Windows Graphics Capture?
Also called: WGC
Definition
Windows Graphics Capture is the capture system built into Windows 10 and 11 that lets an app record a window or a monitor efficiently.
It hands the recorder frames straight from the graphics card, which keeps recording light on the processor and able to keep up at high resolutions and frame rates. It can capture a single window even when another window covers it, and it can leave the mouse pointer out of the frames.
Older recorders copy the screen with slower methods that can stutter or miss hardware-accelerated content.
In Sceed
Sceed records through Windows Graphics Capture with the pointer left out, which is what makes the cursor editable afterwards.
