What is a ripple edit?
Also called: ripple delete, ripple cut
Definition
A ripple edit removes or shortens part of a video and moves everything after it earlier, so no gap is left.
Without ripple, deleting ten seconds from the middle leaves ten seconds of nothing. With ripple, the rest of the video closes up automatically.
The difficulty is keeping effects, zooms and titles in step with the picture they belong to when everything shifts.
In Sceed
Sceed stores every block against the recording’s own time, so cuts ripple without pushing zooms and effects off their moment.
