What is a timeline?
Definition
A timeline is the part of a video editor that lays the video out from left to right in time, with tracks for picture, sound and effects.
Each item on a timeline is a block whose position says when it starts and whose length says how long it lasts. Editing is mostly moving, trimming and deleting blocks.
A playhead marks the current moment. Dragging it is called scrubbing.
In Sceed
Sceed’s timeline has a row per kind of effect above the video and audio tracks. Blocks snap to the playhead, to cuts and to each other.
