What is a walkthrough video?

Definition

A walkthrough video guides the viewer through a product, a process or a document step by step, in order.

Where a demo sells an outcome, a walkthrough explains how something works. It is common for onboarding, handovers, design reviews and pull requests.

A walkthrough can be informal. A two-minute recording of a document with your voice over it often replaces a thirty-minute meeting, and the people who need it can watch at double speed.
