What is a product demo video?

Definition

A product demo video shows a product in use, solving a specific problem, to help someone decide to try or buy it.

For software, a demo is usually an edited screen recording: one task from start to finish, with zooms on the important controls and little or no waiting. Good demos are short and built round an outcome rather than a tour of every feature.
