What is a cursor highlight?
Also called: mouse highlight, cursor spotlight, cursor halo
Definition
A cursor highlight is a visual effect round the mouse pointer, such as a halo, ring or spotlight, that makes it easier to follow.
On a busy interface a small arrow is easy to lose. A soft halo or a ring gives the eye something to track. A spotlight goes further and dims everything except the area round the pointer.
Making the cursor itself larger is often enough, and less distracting.
In Sceed
Sceed’s cursor can be resized and recoloured in the free plan. Halo, ring, spotlight, trail and sparkle effects are part of Pro.
