What is padding?
Also called: inset, margin
Definition
Padding is the space between a screen recording and the edge of the video frame, where the background shows.
More padding makes the recording smaller and calmer; less shows more detail. Together with rounded corners and a shadow, padding is what makes a recording look like an object placed on a background rather than a raw capture.
How much to use depends on where the video will be seen. A video embedded small on a web page wants less padding, so the interface stays readable. A hero video shown large can afford more.
