A native screen recorder for Windows 10 and 11

Built for Windows, and for privacy. A native app. Your recordings never leave your machine.

In short

Sceed is a native app for Windows 10 (64-bit) and Windows 11, not a browser extension or a web recorder. Recordings are plain files in a folder on your disk, nothing is uploaded, and the app only contacts sceed.io to check your sign-in, your plan and whether there is an update.

Made for Windows

The polished screen recorders people point to are mostly Mac apps. Sceed exists so Windows has one. It uses Windows’ own capture and encoding, starts quickly and is a small download.

Your files, on your disk

Each recording is a folder: the video, the audio lanes, the cursor track and a small project file. They live in the Sceed folder inside Videos, or wherever you choose in Settings. Copy a folder to another PC and import it there.

Private by design

Recording, editing and exporting happen on your computer. That matters for customer data, unreleased products and regulated work. See the privacy policy.

The account

A free account is needed. You sign in once through your browser, with nothing to type in the app, and that carries your plan to the machine. After signing in, Sceed keeps working offline for seven days between checks.

Around the edges

  • A library with posters, search, sort and rename.

  • Light and dark themes that follow Windows.

  • One settings dialog: recordings folder, frame rate, countdown, hotkeys, defaults.

  • Updates installed from inside the app.
